Abstract  The man-land relationship is the core of historical geography study.In this paper systematic methodology as guidelines,characteristic of development course of the man-land relationship have analyzed theoretically from three aspects of macroscopic,mid-scopes and microscopic,it is been thought that time course is a unified course of integrality and phase,continuity and difference in discussing course of the man-land relationship.Therefore,historical geography is one of subject of discovering dynamic course and its rule of the man-land relationship.
